Biomedical Equipment Technician I (BMET I)Required Skills & Experience: Associate's degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology (BMET), Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology (EET), science/technology, or military-trained Biomedical Equipment Technician. Basic knowledge of electronics and biomedical equipment maintenance/repair. Understanding of medical equipment calibration, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance. Familiarity with basic electronic/biomedical test equipment. Ability to document maintenance and repairs in a CMMS. Ability to prepare for 24-hour on-call repair responsibilities within 6 months of hire.Nice to Have Skills & Experience: 0–2 years of biomedical, clinical, or related technical experience. Internship or hands-on experience in a hospital/healthcare environment. Familiarity with multimeters, electrical safety analyzers, patient simulators, defibrillator testers, infusion pump testers, and pressure gauges. Knowledge of Joint Commission, NFPA 99, NEC, OSHA, FDA, CAP, and AABB standards.
