Field Technician – Hands-On Commercial Flooring & Field Operations

Job Overview:

• Company: C3 SERVICES, INC.
• Salary/Pay Rate: $20 - $30 per hour (based on experience)
• Location: Leeds, AL (Travel Required)
• Job/Employment Type: Full Time
• Schedule: Schedule Varies (Occasional early mornings, nights, or weekends based on project needs)
• Project Scope: Commercial, Industrial, Government, or Federal
• Mandatory Licenses & Certifications: OSHA 10-Hour certification (or must be obtained within the first year)

The Opportunity :

You will build a long-term career from the ground up by gaining hands-on exposure to active commercial construction projects. Working directly with company leadership and skilled field supervision, you will take real responsibility for installing high-quality commercial flooring systems. This role provides the direct training, mentorship, and practical experience needed to master a skilled trade and rapidly advance within our growing company.

How You Will Make an Impact:

• Execute field preparation, layout, material handling, and installation of commercial flooring products according to exact specifications.
• Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free work zones to protect project materials, active sites, and surrounding finishes.
• Perform quality installation tasks that strictly satisfy architect, general contractor, and manufacturer standards.
• Complete assigned punch-list items, closeout tasks, and corrective work promptly to keep project timelines on schedule.
• Collaborate daily with jobsite superintendents, foremen, and project managers to report jobsite conditions and material needs.
• Utilize proper personal protective equipment and strict safety protocols across all active commercial job sites.
• Participate actively in hands-on technical training to build proficiency in blueprint reading and specialized trade equipment.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Mechanical aptitude and strong practical experience working effectively with hands and tools.
• Strong physical capability to work at floor level and routinely lift up to 75 lbs.
• Basic mathematical skills to calculate square footage, area, and material volume accurately.
• Willingness to travel extensively and relocate temporarily for out-of-town project assignments.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, night shifts, or weekends based on project demands.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3 years preferred of prior experience in construction, flooring, or a related skilled trade environment such as candidates comfortable with PPE, hard hats, active construction sites, indoor/outdoor work, equipment, and physically demanding environments.
• Active OSHA 10-Hour certification or familiar knowledge of jobsite safety procedures.
• Basic understanding of blueprint reading, schematic symbols, and commercial construction practices.
